Co-Curricular
BUILDING CONFIDENCE, CREATIVITY AND TEAMWORK
Co-Curricular Life at Thomas’ Battersea
Our vibrant curriculum encourages, supports and challenges every pupil to find their ‘something’. We believe education should be as broad as it is deep. Our mission is to ensure every pupil discovers their unique spark, their ‘something’ – through a rich variety of daily opportunities. By fostering human connections and celebrating individuality, we help our pupils discover what it is that makes them who they are.
Art and Design
Creativity takes shape in our art studios, where pupils blend traditional techniques with modern technology. The curriculum balances artistic exploration with practical design, teaching children to be resourceful problem-solvers. By experimenting with diverse materials and taking creative risks, pupils learn that innovation starts with an open mind.

Computing
Computing: We prepare pupils to engage confidently with an ever-changing digital landscape. From the fundamentals of computer science and coding, to hands-on experience with 3D printers and drones, our learners become tech-adaptable. Central to this journey is digital citizenship, ensuring every child stays safe and responsible online.
Drama and Dance
The performing arts are a cornerstone of confidence at Thomas’s Battersea, allowing pupils to find expression in motion, develop self-confidence and physical literacy. Through imaginative play and structured theatre skills, pupils develop empathy, physical expression, and the ‘spirit of generosity’ required for true collaboration. Starting with structured movement, our Dance program builds stamina and musicality. We nurture a child’s natural creativity, turning physical activity into an art form that boosts self-assurance.

Music
The heartbeat of the school. Music enriches every corner of school life. From their first notes, pupils are encouraged to compose, play and listen. Whether through formal lessons or our exciting co-curricular program, pupils gain the confidence to perform for audiences and the discipline to grow as young musicians.
Physical Education and Games
Sport is for everyone. Physical Education at Thomas’s Battersea is inclusive, high-energy and expert-led. Our specialist staff ensure that every child, regardless of starting ability, finds joy in being active. The curriculum offers skill building across a range of disciplines from swimming and gymnastics to football, netball and cricket. A robust calendar of fixtures and tournaments allows pupils to represent the school across London and beyond. Competitive spirit and teamwork are built through our House sporting competitions. Our goal is to foster a lifelong love for physical activity and encourage every pupil to reach their full potential.
